Quad is a minimalist house located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by architecture atelier akio takatsuka. This home resides in the suburbs of Tokyo, which surrounded by vegetable fields and flower gardens. The square plan is divided into four different rooms, and each room, facing to the east, west, south and north, varies with surface area and ceiling height. As a result, various interior conditions of light and spatial scale are next to each other in a small volume of house. The gabled roof is a little bit shifted from the center to create a more diverse visual impact from different angles.
