Rebirth House is a minimalist residence located in Ibaraki, Japan, designed by Ryo Matsui Architects. The originally house was greatly affected by an earthquake, and much of its structural integrity was compromised. The architects tried to preserve as much of the original construction as possible in order to maintain its character. As a result, the structure is a visual amalgamation of aesthetics from two different eras.
