Roadside House is a minimalist residence located in Niigata, Japan, designed by NAF Architect & Design Co. The site is located in an older area of Niigata where a well-known festival called the Ojiya Festival has become tradition. The residence is characterized by an opening toward the corner intersection which serves as a garage space. The space is visible from within the home, and functions as a visual barricade to pedestrians while still gaining natural light.
