Tsumiki is a minimalist house located in Aichi, Japan, designed by Mamiya Shinichi Design Studio. The architecture is characterized by a skylight that illuminates down into the staircase. The architects wanted to create the perception of a large structure, and thus rotated the building to give it more depth. The interior is comprised of a multi-level system in which custom storage doubled as staircases to the adjacent levels.
