UZU Hermitage is a minimalist residence located in Kanagawa, Japan, designed by Kihaku Tsutsui Topos Studio. The two-family home allows for multi-generational living, while also promoting boundaries between the two households. An interior courtyard ties the space together, with all of the main living areas facing the courtyard. The courtyard also provides visual transparency between the main and upper levels.
