A Calm Place is an exhibition of minimalist pieces created by Objective Studies, a new digital platform dedicated to showcasing distinctive objects and furniture. With a focus on the meticulous study and appreciation of craft, materials, composition, and context, the platform curates and features collections exclusively a few times a year. The mission of Objective Studies is to introduce equity into the design industry by nurturing new talent and presenting exceptional and innovative works. The platform aims to foster a supportive environment for designers, connecting their craft with the right audiences. It aspires to be a launchpad for emerging talent, a preferred marketplace for design enthusiasts, and a unique sourcing archive for industry professionals.

Founded by digital expert Lijana Norkaityte and furniture designer and creative director Matteo Fogale, Objective Studies draws inspiration from the Danish approach to modern living. This approach emphasizes a close relationship with nature, thoughtful use of natural materials, and flexible space utilization—principles that resonate deeply in today’s design context. The current exhibition centers on the Korshage house, built in 1960 by Erik Korshagen on Denmark’s north coast. This house exemplifies the Danish way of creating livable spaces. The exhibition uses the Korshage house as a conceptual link, bringing together an international group of designers to showcase contemporary furniture in the spirit of this historic site. Through this, the exhibition connects Danish home culture with today’s global design landscape.

The list of designers for this first collection includes Ted Synnott, CPRV, Sara De Campos, Rasmus Palmgren, Mario Martinez, Sina Sohrab, Laura Lange + Christian Juhl, Sébastien El Idrissi, Asca Studio, and Thélonious Goupil.
