AC01 is a minimalist chair designed by Berlin-based designer Frederik Fialin. The AC01, a dining chair crafted entirely from solid aluminum, stands out in this collection. Abandoning the common use of tubing, this chair is assembled using only screws and threads, exemplifying a unique approach to material utilization. The design challenge here was to explore the limits of aluminum’s thinness while ensuring the chair’s stability and durability. The result is a piece that is both lightweight and robust. For added comfort, there’s an option to include a back cushion.

The chair is part of the new collection ‘Assembly 0.1′ by the designer, who emphasizes a process-oriented approach, treating it as the first chapter in an ongoing series. This methodological division allows for a reflective pause, providing an opportunity to weave together various themes and clarify the temporal placement of each item and concept within the designer’s oeuvre. This approach also facilitates a cohesive language across individual pieces, enabling them to function both independently and as part of a collective ensemble.

Among the noteworthy introductions, besides the AC01, are two lamps, named Reflector and Flagpole, alongside a novel shelving unit termed the Spaghetti Shelf System. The range also includes a daybed, a coffee table, and two innovative seating options.
