The Additions Collection is a minimalist furniture collection by the New York-based design practice, Atelier FM. Designed as an extension of the studio’s debut Continuous collection, this sophomore release embraces more pared-back forms with a strong emphasis on materiality.

Comprising of three pieces — the Half Screen, Console Table, and Occasional Table —  Additions is unified by a rich East Indian Laurel veneer, which was sourced by the manufacturer at an auction years ago. With its deep brown tones and intricate dark grain pattern, the veneer lends a sense of warmth and cohesiveness to the collection.

Other standout materials include a wide-weave Australian pure virgin wool sablé, whose subtle transparency allows light to filter through, forming the hand-wrapped panel legs of the Console Table. This delicate detail was made possible through collaboration with expert artisans, who meticulously wrapped and secured the fabric to ensure a seamless and precise application. Meanwhile, parchment insets accentuate the panels of the Half Screen, introducing another layer of texture to the collection.

“With Additions, we’ve expanded our creative process to explore not just form but also the emotional power of materials,” says Fabiana Machado, Founder and Designer of Atelier FM.

“The collection is an intimate reflection of the craftsmanship and artisanship that are at the heart of everything we do. The results are pieces that invite touch, captivate the eye, and ultimately transcend time.”

Each Additions piece is available in a limited quantity of twelve, plus two Artist Proofs.
