Axyl Collection is a minimalist furniture collection created by London-based designer Benjamin Hubert’s studio Layer for Allermuir. The focus of the collection was to utilize recycled aluminum in the Y-frame of the chairs, which uses just five percent of the energy required to create new aluminum. The chair shells, stool tops, and table tops consist of a variety recycled materials including wood fiber, reclaimed timber, and recycled nylon. The injection-molded shells for the stackable chair are manufactured in recycled plastic. The chairs are also available with an optional cushion that is made from repurposed nylon.
