Bian Yuan is a minimal table designed by Los Angeles-based practice THO Studio. The project is a low table that welcomes gathering, designed for small living space. Bian, which translates to “edge”, is emphasized within this low table as the most important design element as it is designed to accommodate both work & gathering. For “Yuan”, the designer takes a different character that sounds the same as “around” but also symbolizes gathering and perfection in Chinese.
