Closer is a minimalist side table created by Sweden and Spain-based designer Sanna Völker for Bolia. An airy and elegant side table available in two variants; the smart-looking fully black version or the option of intriguing red marble. As if caught in a movement the two table tops interact to create an alliance of marble and wood. The intersection of the legs create a playful and lightweight contrast to the sturdy top. The table was named after the album Closer by Joy Division after reading a comment by Peter Saville, the designer behind the album artwork: “This cover for the band’s second album was like a work of antiquity, but inside is a vinyl album, so it’s a postmodern juxtaposition of a contemporary work housed in the antique.”
