Elysia is a minimalist design created by Italy-based designer Luca Nichetto for De La Espada. The perfect synthesis of superior woodwork and fine tailoring is revealed in the lounge chair Elysia, the first product of the collection 50/50. The lounge chair has a solid wood leg construction that cradles the padded shell of the seat and the backrest. The “skeleton”, traditionally hidden inside the upholstery, is deliberately exposed to showcase the craftsmanship and premium timber.

The exceptional comfort Elysia offers is visually communicated through the padding enveloping the shell, and the generous folds of fabric on the cushion. Available in Danish Oiled American Black Walnut or Danish Oiled European Ash and a range of fabrics. The timber is finished with a traditional wood oil followed by wax, applied by even application to the timber planks. This finish deepens the natural colour of the timber.
