The Fallen Leaves Coffee Table is a minimalist table made in collaboration by Brooklyn-based designers Natalie Weinberger and Nathaniel Wojtalik of Cultivation Objects. Drawing from a shared reverence for craft and materiality, Fallen Leaves is part of an ongoing series of ceramic and wood furniture by the two designers.
Defined by its gentle, organic contours, the tabletop is composed of hand-cut stoneware tiles glazed in a waxy sage green, a nod to Weinberger’s signature surface treatments. The tabletop smoothly transitions into wooden legs, handcrafted and sculpted from white oak by Wojtalik to echo the leaf-like motif above. Finished in a mineral paint of a similar leafy-green hue, the wooden legs feature a natural grain texture, creating a subtle material contrast with the stoneware tabletop.
The table’s quiet color palette and interplay of textures come together to create a refined and understated piece. Merging Weinberger’s focus on traditional ceramic processes with Wojtalik’s sculptural approach to functional design, the Fallen Leaves Coffee Table speaks to a shared sensitivity to natural forms and the tactile language of their chosen mediums.
