G8 Bench is a minimalist bench designed by Tokyo-based studio Torafu Architects, and manufactured by Karimoku. The benches were created for an installation within the entrance lobby of the Recruit GINZA8 Building. The design of the simple and gate-shaped benches enables multiple uses; using them in the waiting area of a cafe facility, and to be able to change the layout of benches for opening parties and lectures in the adjacent gallery.

The succinct and rectangle outline of the benches contributes to the easy rearrangement of the layout. Contrasted with the interior made with the rigid material, the benches of solid chestnut wood are finished by a technique of the furniture manufacturers, Karimoku to realize the soft impression of sections and tactile details while giving a sense of sturdiness and depth. Complementing the bright and mono color space, these benches dyed with three types of shade of colors add accent to the space.
