Jess is a minimalist design created by Oregon-based designer Phloem Studio. The angular chair is constructed entirely of wood, and is available in all domestic hardwoods. Phloem Studio was founded by designer/craftsman Benjamin Klebba in 2009. Ben grew up in the Great Lake state of Michigan, across the street from Lake Huron. Ben’s dad taught construction trades at an industrial arts center for 20 years. He built the house Ben grew up in, the furniture within it, and transitioned into building wooden sailboats. This left a lasting impression.
