Koons Series is a minimal furniture collection created by Hangzhou-based practice TELLS STUDIO. In the Koons series, the studio referenced Jeff Koons’ famous stainless steel sculpture balloon dog, which is simplified into an independent structural member. When the two structural members are connected through a point, the iconic characteristics of the balloon dog are naturally formed. The creation of a single structure lies in how to complete unlimited application and derivation. Taking Koons as the core of the structure, the studio extended a series of products to include a coffee table, side table, mirror, dining table, cart, wall shelf and lamps .
