Molly is a minimalist design created by Japan-based designer Jin Kuramoto Studio. Matsuso T is a collaboration project between Hiroshima’s expert carpentry workers and Jin Kuramoto design studio. The ‘Molly’ shelf series has an unusual expression stemming from the contrast between crisp, right-angled wood joints of the structure and generous, fabric-covered surfaces. The shelf is accessible from many different directions, and has size and presence enough to work well as a room divider. When the doors are opened, the legs of shelf are obscured from view, giving the shelf the appearance of floating just above the floor.
