Pedestal.04 is a minimal chair created by Japan-based designer Luka Yasukawa. This chair is assembled at right angles by plywood, an easily accessible material. The back and seat surfaces are curved with thin plywood along the body. Through this, the design of a pedestal transmutates into that of a chair. In addition, the chair is designed by cuts in a straight line, minimizing waste. The designer wanted to create a piece that anyone could assemble and make themselves.
