Piani is a minimalist shelving system created by Paris-based designer Jun Yasumoto for Fucina. While designing “Piani”, the designer was after a balance between the steel’s weight and its structural properties. The idea was to produce something that only steel could achieve and which carried a certain paradox, confronting its physical heaviness with its visual lightness. Fucina was the perfect manufacturer to propose this concept to. Their exceptional craftsmanship and their great attention to detail perfectly translated the original intention into a high quality product.
