Scout is a minimalist design created by Portugal-based designer Christian Haas for Karimoku New Standard. The Scout dining chair is conceived as a compact seat with an unexpected comfort. The design challenges the archetype of the wooden chair and proposes an innovative structural composition that results in unique proportions and striking details. TheScout tables are designed as companions for the Scout chair and share the same design approach. They all use all the same modular legs, which can be easily detached from the tabletop for flat-pack transportation. The series makes use of the particularities of Karimoku’s techniques and craftsmanship. The resulting sophisticated details and refined finishes reflect Karimoku’s passion for perfection and longevity.
