Shift Shelf is a minimalist design created by Germany-based designer New Tendency. Shift is a shelving system consisting of modular elements, which can be easily stacked vertically on top of each other and moved horizontally. Shift is highly adaptive and can be arranged responding to various needs depending on the content, conditions or context – positioned freestanding or in front of a wall. Its elements allow the corresponding functions as a shelf, a wall shelf or as a side- board. The shelf needs no screws or tools and can be recomposed simply. The system is based on three different elements: a base-element and two different top-elements – closed or open.
