Solid Chair is a minimal chair created by Amsterdam-based designer Thijmen van der Steen. In search of creating a plain and elementary series of furniture, the idea for the Solid Chair arose. Much like playing with building blocks, all parts are placed onto each other. Two horizontal solid ash beams carry the seat and the back. A straight forward design where just the necessary elements are working together to shape a strong and comfortable lounge chair. The Solid Chair comes with cushions made with a strong and colorful Kvadrat textile.
