Solida is a minimal table created by São Paulo-based designer RAIN. Solida is composed of two similar volumes of different sizes that, overlapped, suggest a relation of balance. The main characteristic of the design is its synthetic character – of geometric and symmetrical curves – contrasted with the natural material. The base is slightly wider than the top, intending to reveal its shape. Designed and produced by digital processes, the precise curves carved into the solid wood give the piece a serene appearance.
