Stello Stool is a minimalist stool located in Munich, Germany, designed by Felix Pöttinger for Brazilian brand Iludi. This multifunctional piece doubling as stepladder and tiny shelf celebrates cultural exchange through design under theme “Brazilian Essence: A New Perspective,” exploring how design can be dance between two worlds. From Germany comes clarity, precision, and functionality while from Brazil emerges lush natural beauty, pulsating cultural rhythm, and effortless joyful way of life.

The minimalist design demonstrates Pöttinger’s approach balancing European design rigor with Brazilian lifestyle sensibilities, creating object serving multiple domestic functions within compact form. The stepladder capability addresses practical household needs for occasional height access without requiring dedicated ladder storage, while tiny shelf function provides surface for small objects or plants. This triple-functionality reflects contemporary small-space living where single objects must serve varied purposes maximizing utility within minimal footprints.

Pöttinger’s background graduating from Royal College of Art London with MA in Design Products and working internationally for Nils Holger Moormann, Tim Rundle Studio, Steelcase Inc., and Studio F.A. Porsche informs his design approach combining industrial design expertise with craft sensibilities. His studio develops products and experiences for leading design companies including Auerberg, Bora, BMW, Hansgrohe, and Sony Music Germany, demonstrating range across varied scales and applications from furniture to automotive contexts.
