The Tempo collection is a minimalist series of furniture by the Los Angeles-based studio, Deceres. Tempo consists of three meticulously handcrafted pieces, each inspired by humanity’s relationship to time and permanence.

Combining a natural material palette of oak with brutalist geometric forms, Tempo draws from the aesthetics of the past, present, and an envisioned future. The angles and vertical characteristics of the “Coba” dresser are an ode to the eponymous weathered Mayan ruins in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, while the “Aequs Accent Table” evokes the architectural essence of futuristic design. The collection is completed with the “Sakro” chair, a piece that fuzes pre-columbian and neoteric design. 

As a whole, Tempo is a continuation of Deceres’ commitment to designing furniture and objects that embody purposeful functionality — where each piece captivates with its presence without distracting from its surroundings.
