Tongs is a minimalist stool designed by Shizuoka-based studio Yu Matsuda Design. A chair like a tongue using a stainless steel leaf spring as a seat. The moment you sit on the chair you saw for the first time, you always feel that the feeling behind the thigh is becoming sensitive as you try to perceive that comfort. Consciousness is suitable for the chair to feel hardness, size, shape, material, temperature, transmitted from the seating surface. If I had a chair with unfamiliar structure or proportion, I thought that sensitivity would be further enhanced. Through the visual impression operation, I am considering the possibility of controlling the person’s consciousness side, not the performance of the item itself.
