Aesop Westmount is a minimal interior located in Montreal, Canada, designed by Alain Carle Architecte. The architects wanted the focus to revolve around the historical development of Montreal, as well as how nature is affected by the changing seasons. Specifically, the architects took notice of the chromatic polarity of snow and the blackness of the St. Lawrence River during the winter. The wooden floors reference tree trunks floating in the river, while the three brances recall the forests of Quebec.
