Casey Casey Showroom is a minimalist space located in Paris, France, designed by Atelier NEA. Located in a historic building from 1882 in the Pigalle district, the 130-square-meter space spans two floors and is defined by its characteristic steel window fixtures. The space, formerly a dance school, has undergone a complete renovation to serve as a multipurpose venue for the brand. The showroom now functions as a dynamic creative hub, hosting Paris Fashion Week events, serving as a photography studio for in-house editorials, and supporting the brand’s e-commerce needs. The mezzanine level operates as an office and studio for Casey Casey’s Artistic Director, Gareth Casey, while the rear of the showroom has been designed as his private apartment.
The design prioritizes adaptability, ensuring the space can easily accommodate different business activities. Key architectural features, such as the large steel window overlooking the boulevard, the double-height space, crown moldings, and mezzanine, were carefully preserved. The renovation focused on three main interventions. First, the space was insulated for energy efficiency, including the preservation of the steel window frame and the replacement of its glass. New windows were also added. The second step involved rebuilding the mezzanine from the ground up, and lastly, the staircase was relocated to the front of the showroom to better connect the interior with the street.
The open-plan design creates an inviting atmosphere, with integrated storage, stairs, and a kitchen along a continuous built-in wall, maintaining the fluidity of the space. Casey Casey carefully selected natural materials and textures throughout, with oak used for the custom kitchen-stair-storage unit and Castile stone for the kitchen countertops. Grey Breccia stone features subtly in the bathrooms, while raw concrete walls and ceilings capture natural light, enhancing the showroom’s northern orientation.
