Cazenove Road is a minimalist interior located in London, United Kingdom, designed by Morales Finch. The project involved the conversion of an existing residential dwelling, into a live-work space, occupied by an industrial designer, graphic designer and their family. The basic function of more private and individual volumes were retained, with a more generous serious of circulation routes and relationships introduced between the remaining communal spaces, the aim being to create what felt like a single common area. The building’s original, and in places inconsistent, architectural features were largely retained and refurbished. However, within any nearly formed or heavily altered spaces, simplified interpretations of these details were introduced as replacements. These were intended as both signifiers of the works and as a means to knit previously unrelated spaces together with a series of consistent elements.
