The apartment is characterized by a central kitchen island that utilizes a dark slate tone to contrast against the white and natural palette seen within the rest of the space. The refrigerator is integrated within the cabinetry while the stove and oven are integrated within the slate island. The original structure including wall moldings, door moldings, and ceiling stucco were kept mainly in tact.
