City Pied-à-Terre is a minimal residence located in Brussels, Belgium, designed by Stef Claes. The space is within a newer development, thus many of the original elements were maintained throughout the renovation. Inclusive of this are the floors, which, although may have not been the architects’ first choice, informed the color palette of the rest of the home. The designer made sure that the furniture would not become an afterthought, and chose iconic pieces such as Pierre Jeanneret dining chairs adjacent a Morgen Lund dining table.
