Copenhagen Suburb is a minimal space located in Copenhagen, Denmark, utilizing Reform’s BASIS design. The client is Camilla Bækvad, a photographer based in Copenhagen. The owner chose the BASIS design because they thought it would have a clean and Scandinavian look. It suited the house stylistically well and the round oak handles played well with the floor. They did not choose hanging wall cabinets because they decided open shelves contribute more ambiance and personality to a kitchen. The countertop should be simple and thin, so they chose a Corian countertop, which is also durable and easy to maintain.
