Cunningham Street Residence is a minimal house located in Melbourne, Australia, designed by studiofour. Each project begins with an extended workshop where computers and rulers are absent. Also paramount to the approach of the studio is breaking down the boundaries between disciplines to allow each to bleed into another, to create a cohesive and highly considered outcome.

The space is characterized by an interior courtyard that is enclosed by walls extending past the main building. This courtyard provides abundant natural light without compromise to privacy. A spiral staircase maximizes space while serving as a sculptural centerpiece.
