Detached House in Riehen is a minimalist residence located in Riehen, Switzerland, designed by Kloter Architekten. A two-story detached house was designed on an existing basement of a 1950s house on the outskirts of Riehen. The living rooms and bedrooms are organized around a core that also ensures earthquake safety. An attractive feature is the extensive meadow landscape behind the house. Due to the height gradation in the building section, an excessive living space could be developed, which leads the unique landscape into the house. The outer walls are made of solid single stone masonry. This was plastered and provided with a three-layer glaze with depth effect.
