EDA ROOM M is a minimalist residence located in Kanagawa, Japan, designed by Yoshida Yuichi. The renovation of a one-room space within a 30 year old building sought to open up the interior as much as possible without the removal of load-bearing walls. The client, who enjoys gardening, wanted a portion of the space to have wooden floors in order to facilitate cleaning. As a result, the programs are separated by varying floor materials, mixed between concrete and wood.
