House B-T is a minimal residence located in Meilegem, Belgium, designed by GRAUX & BAEYENS. In order to create a comfortable old age for themselves in their own village, without having to move to a retirement home, the client decided to replace an old worn out house with a new two-family house. The idea is that the client lives in a “bungalow on the first floor” where everything is easily accessible with surrounding terraces that give a beautiful view of the landscape. The supporting house on the ground floor is released for a care person with a family with children who have full use of the surrounding garden.
