Hudson Valley House II is minimalist residence located in Upstate New York, designed by Thomas Phifer and Partners. The home is characterized by blackened shingles on an acute gabled roof. The entrance is revealed via a steel frame lifted above the ground, creating an illusion that the resident is stepping from one world into the next. The interior features custom build outs including an entire wardrobe constructed of the same wood found in the floors and walls.
