Interno 5 is a minimalist home located in Mantova, Italy, designed by Archiplanstudio. At the entrance, a narrow and elongated space serves a dual purpose as both a study and a wardrobe. The central section of the living area cleverly incorporates a service bathroom within its volume. This strategic placement allows the surrounding walls to remain unencumbered, enhancing the organization and functionality of the living spaces. In the sleeping quarters, a second bathroom is delineated by a translucent wall. This feature ingeniously permits natural light from adjacent rooms to permeate and brighten the hallway, adding a sense of openness. The design approach seeks to respect and preserve the layers of historical influences present within the space. It endeavors to establish a cohesive connection that embraces the complexity inherent in the blending of different time periods.
