Maison à la Capite is a minimal residence located in Vésenaz, Switzerland, designed by Lacroix Chessex. The Route de la Capite 159 in Vésenaz is where this project is situated. The strip-shaped piece, which has a surface area of 464 m2, is typical of portions in the neighborhood (60 m long and 8 m wide). The plot, which faces south-east/north-west and has an 8-meter steep slope, offers the house, which is on the highest point, a clear view of the lake and the Jura from its front garden. The protected area on the Route de la Capite is visible from the street-side facade. The project include restoring the current structure and adding a two-story addition. Our three-pronged strategy aims to: Restore the building’s architectural and spatial features as well as its historical core. By constructing an addition that creates living spaces that are harmonious with the existing spaces, you may emphasize the garden’s exceptional location and the surrounding landscape. Offer practical and technical solutions that will allow the most existing components to be kept while enhancing the overall comfort and functionality of the new home.
