MM Residence is a minimal house located in Hoogstraten, Belgium, designed by Studio Leeman. The renovation has seamlessly extended these spaces, forging a harmonious link with the verdant garden beyond. Central to this project is the kitchen, now a culinary haven equipped with a suite of modern appliances, including a wine cooler, steamer, and integrated refrigerators. A notable feature is the expansive 5-meter island, complete with ample seating, offering picturesque views of the garden. Adjacent to the kitchen, a dedicated coffee corner with individual seating adds to the area’s functionality and charm.

Studio Leeman’s approach to the interior has been to infuse warmth and timelessness. This is achieved through the use of natural materials such as larch, linen, oak, mortex, and travertine, which are artfully incorporated into the design. The result is an ambiance that exudes a soft, inviting feel, achieved without compromising on elegance. The renovation extends to the upper level of the house, where the bedroom, bathroom, and dressing room have been unified into a cohesive master suite. An open corridor, running along the house’s rear wall, connects these rooms, maintaining the material and design continuity established on the ground floor.
