MUSA is a minimal boutique property consisting of residences and hotels located in Guerrero, Mexico, executed by Mexico City-born designer, Andrés Saavedra Design and Canadian entrepreneur, Tara Medina. At 23, Andrés moved to where the hotel is currently situated, known for its iconic surfing location. The property, where MUSA can be found today, was part of Andres’ surf trips in the region when he was younger. The property is a hidden sanctuary neighbored by unequivocal natural landscapes and beachfront access. Although remote, the facilities are not without cutting-edge technology and innovation, allowing a global network of entrepreneurs and forward-thinking creatives to meet within a space of both understated luxury and conscious design.

MUSA was built to be embraced by the topography of the land, allowing nature to take centre stage and preserving the precious environment. Careful low-density planning in consultation with designers, architects and botany experts has preserved the land and the historic and ecological importance of the destination. As such, sustainability is at the forefront of every design choice, including composting and soil regeneration along with water captation and greywater recycling systems for feeding gardens.

Casa MUSA, a 16 guest fully-serviced private beachfront getaway, features five boutique rooms and suites crafted for the tropical-coastal landscape and using traditional techniques of the region. All rooms are equipped with reliable WiFi, Smeg appliances, and bedside controls for air conditioning and intelligent lighting. In addition to open-air ensuites and techniques for natural, cross-breeze ventilation, balconies and garden terraces offer an abundance of golden light and unobstructed views over the sweeping Pacific.
