PCMC is a minimalist space located in Seoul, South Korea, designed by oftn studio. The layout of PCMC follows a practical rectangular shape, partitioned into group rooms, restrooms, a kitchen, and a hall. The standout feature of the space is the open-kitchen-style bar table, where guests are welcomed as if entering a friend’s home. Seating at the bar provides a firsthand view of the preparation of highballs and culinary delights, enhancing the sense of hospitality and quality service. In a striking display of collaboration and functionality, the space incorporates modular aluminum elements on the walls and ceilings. These aluminum features not only align with the design’s aesthetic but also serve as multifunctional pieces where accessories, such as clothes and hats, can be displayed. Artworks, too, find their place through collaboration with artists.

Such consideration goes beyond the immediate spatial aesthetics, reflecting a thoughtfulness for the brand’s sustainability. The space’s design contemplates future collaborations and events, transcending the limitation of a static or one-dimensional environment. The lighting within Pcmc is carefully tailored to the space’s ever-changing dynamics, employing built-in rail lamps that sync with the aluminum ceiling modules. These magnetic lamps can be repositioned to suit the space’s needs, ensuring optimal illumination to capture its distinct character. With a disciplined approach to materials, the design shuns excessive ostentation. Instead, it leverages the innate individuality of concrete, metal, and wood. All furniture follows suit, crafted from these materials in meticulous detail, enhancing the coherence of the overall design.
