QV8 by Breathe Architecture

QV8 is a minimalist residence located in Melbourne, Australia, designed by Breathe Architecture. The site is directly opposite the State Library of Victoria and looks out across the iconic dome of the La Trobe Reading Room to the north. The architects utilized shear walls in order to separate the space into eight separate apartments. Due to the heavy concrete foundation, the temperature of the apartments stay constant throughout the year from the structures thermal mass.
