Renovation of Kita-Aoyama is a minimal interior located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by Buttondesign. Four large shoji screens were used to allow natural light to enter the space while providing sun protection and privacy. Located on the top floor of a condominium, the south-east facing unit was composed of three types of windows and followed a curved line. The shoji screens were designed to follow the curve of the wall, while creating harmony throughout the space.
