Restaurant Papi is a minimal restaurant located in Paris, France, designed by Neri&Hu. The space is characterized by a large cylindrical volume encased in thin vertical tiles, which are duplicated within the interior flooring as well. The architects were careful to examine each aspect of the space meticulously, conscious that each element of the space represents a different period of Paris’ history. Superfluous finishes were peeled back to reveal the original structure, displaying brick and limestone surfaces.
