Restructuration D’un Appartement À Marseille is a minimalist interior located in Marseille, France, designed by Olivia Fauvelle Architecture. The renovation sought to maintain the building’s original structural elements, purposefully building around existing columns. Sheer curtains are used throughout the space to serve as semi-transparent partitions, allowing natural light to seep through. Alternatively, black-out curtains are used at the boundary between programs to fully visually obstruct each space. An asymmetrical table enveloping the central concrete column serves as both a kitchen island for additional space for food preparation, a well as a table for dining.
