Rivedroite Marais is a minimalist showroom located in Paris, France, designed by ūti. The new space reflects the brand’s core values through a minimalist and adaptable design, providing a clear and authentic environment that emphasizes the products and their craftsmanship. The boutique’s design takes inspiration from a traditional dressmaking workshop, featuring wooden workbenches, modular metal shelves, and a polished concrete floor. The space is encased in a neutral, luminous white shell, creating a clean backdrop that allows the products to stand out.
The project focuses on the meticulous assembly of each piece of furniture, aiming for both effectiveness and practicality. The products themselves serve as the main decorative elements. Furniture is constructed using mechanical assembly techniques, combining aluminum and solid oak. Materials are sourced from a reuse network, including an aluminum-sheathed cash desk initially destined for landfill due to non-compliance with standards. Wood elements are crafted from second-choice solid French oak panels. These panels, typically considered for firewood due to surface defects, bring character to the space, much like the worn wood of an old workshop bench.
