S Warehouse & Residence is a minimalist home located in Shanghai, China, designed by Jun Murata. The residence is situated in a suburban area of Shanghai on the 16th floor. The client wanted to custom pieces to be made and shipped directly from Japan. The space was a former warehouse, thus the architects needed to dismantle the original floor plan in order to fit the specifications of the client. Although narrow, the space features a variety of storage and functionality.
