Sculptural Minimalism is a design approach by Kristina Dam Studio that was exhibited during 3daysofdesign. The clean, honest, and contemporary designs epitomize Kristina Dam Studio – conceptualized in their anniversary piece: The Frame Sculpture. The interplay between light and shadow, graphic shapes and interior functions frames Sculptural Minimalism for private and public spaces. During 3daysofdesign, Kristina Dam Studio showcased unique artworks and sculptures with the novelties in the apartment of fashion connoisseur Kim Grenaa, owner of Grenaa Creative & Grenaa Creative Living. The apartment is a part of an old architectural factory in a backyard in the centre of Copenhagen. The new Outline Desk was displayed beautifully, being the focus throughout their anniversary exhibition.
The Outline Desk was articulated by a longing for a minimal essential space that pillars forward-thinking and outward-looking. The design exudes craft and humility with architectural clarity and grace with the understated details that reveal themselves upon closer inspection. Sleek lines create a graphic interplay of steel frames that holds the solid oak tabletop and drawers, giving the Outline Desk a classic yet contemporary look. A part of the 3daysofdesign exhibition was also one-of-a-kind paintings and sculptures created by Brand & Design Director Kristina Dam. The unique black Stool Sculpture is made of defects from the Stool production, giving new life to leftover pieces with minor imperfections.
