Strandgade 104 is a minimalist interior located in Copenhagen, Denmark, designed by the architect and designer David Thulstrup with interior styling by RUE VERTE. This historic building, a former hide warehouse from 1806, has been carefully preserved and transformed into a sophisticated apartment transformed by architect David Thulstrup. The design emphasizes muted tones and natural materials, reflecting the building’s storied past. Dinesen pine wood floors complement the original 200-year-old beams, achieving a seamless integration of old and new. The chalk and sand-rendered walls provide a natural, warm transition between the exterior and interior spaces. A standout feature is the leather-wrapped lift, a homage to the building’s heritage, offering a welcoming touch to residents. The design combines eclectic elements in a cohesive manner, resulting in a space that is both contemporary and timeless. Studio David Thulstrup aimed to merge historical significance with modern comfort, ensuring the apartment maintains a strong sense of place and history. This project showcases the beauty of preserving architectural integrity while incorporating refined, understated luxury.
